LUSO 2007 will have three essential moments: Experiences, where students and researchers will share their personal experiences on doing research in the UK; Opportunities, where companies and other entities will present projects and funding programmes; Debate, where everyone will be invited to present their views in defining better strategies for research in Portugal.
Coffee-breaks will encourage networking among participants. LUSO 2007 will close with the official meeting dinner in one of the traditional Cambridge College.

This session will bring academic and corporate opportunities from companies and other institutions. Special relevance will be given to technology transfer and the interaction between researchers and companies.
We have confirmed the presence of Dr Lino Fernandes, the President of the Agency for Innovation, a governmental agency which aims to enhance cooperation between universities and companies in Portugal. |

In this session, there will be a panel for discussing strategies to attain excellence in research in Portugal and to promote investment of companies in I&D. The audience will also take part in the discussion.
